As social justice organising and movement-building work has moved online in the midst of COVID-19, many of us are having to adapt very quickly.
Tripod are offering two trainings in online facilitation this week and next to support groups and organisations to navigate these challenging times.
These 90 mins workshops are a starting place to gain immediate tips and tools for facilitating meetings and workshops online, and learn about other trainings and resources available -whether you’re completely new to online facilitation or already have some experience.
The first workshop on the 9th of April is specifically aimed at folks involved in mutual aid initiatives and grassroots social justice groups, while the workshop on the 14th of April is more tailored to those working for NGOs, campaigning organisations, unions, workers’ cooperatives and others.
You can find out more about these workshops and how to sign up on the links below:
The workshops will cover:
- Key principles for engaging online facilitation;
- Facilitation tools and techniques for interactive online meetings and workshops;
- Accessibility and inclusivity in online meetings;
- A whistle-stop introduction to Zoom as well as other platforms.
We will be running more online facilitation trainings in the time ahead, including longer sessions covering more advanced tools and techniques with a particular focus on accessibility. If you want to stay in the loop, you can follow us on Facebook or sign up to our newsletter here.
We’re also here to support your group or organisation directly, for example through online training, support with facilitating online meetings and collective processes, conflict mediation and/or organisational development. Just drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
