Conflict is an inevitable part of working in relationship with other people and often involves strong emotions. We have seen that when people are supported to engage with conflict it can lead to growth and change. Navigating through conflict can lead to better relationships, more inclusive and creative decision making and more anti-oppressive spaces.

We offer fully confidential conflict mediation to help people involved in social and environmental justice groups to navigate through conflict. We strive to mediate with an awareness of power and identity and make every effort to make our mediation practice as anti-oppressive as possible. An important part of conflict mediation for Tripod is supporting groups to develop their own strategies for handling future conflicts.

For groups wanting to explore how they deal with conflict rather than have a specific conflict mediated we also facilitate training in Working with Conflict.
